Who are the Friends of the Library?
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community members like you with varied interests and a shared passion. The Friends of the Library value, support, and champion the public library.
Can I join?
Membership is open to all individuals who want involvement in promoting materials, services and programs at the library.
What do the Friends of the Library do?
- encourage community awareness of the library by sharing your passion for learning, books, and the library in our community.
- raise funds to purchase materials and equipment not available through the regular budget
- provide volunteer assistance for library programs
- sponsor special programs and exhibits for adults and children
- advocate for the library
When do the Friends of the Library meet?
The Friends of the Library meet monthly on the Second Saturday of the Month at 10:30 am in the community room of the Haakon County Courthouse.
